This is so obvious that this little human being is responding it his/her own way. Every emotion is translated into a facial expression or a movement.
Very cute...

That's silly to assume that the baby did that gesture on purpose. Oh well, every mother likes to think that her baby is a genius...

this is not the correct signing for nurse.

You guys are all crazy! That's just a movement of his arm! And as for a 3 month old signing milk... opening and closing the fist is a natural thing for babies to do, even babies who haven't been taught to sign. You guys are hilarious!
(and this is coming from someone who has used sign language for 16 years)

how cute!!!! i am going to breast feed my baby, this is a good thing to know! thanks

You must have shown the baby your breast which made her do that hand gesture. I doubt the baby understands the word nurse at that young age.

I love the facial expressions! Baby Sign Language is so much fun for the whole family.

You can see her trying to find the right muscles to use to raise her hand. And then success. I love this video
: ) This is the sign his mom worked on with him so he could communicate this need before speech was developed. Babies do have the ability to move their arms, which is precisely why it is a good movement to use in communicating : ) Most mamas have been communicating and connecting from birth and can tell the difference. Three month old babies may not have extreme dexterity yet, but don't mistake them for being dumb. Mom and babe also had a sign for have-to-potty which saved a lot of diapers.
