I'm 17, i have the social anxiaty disorder. I've had one girlfriend. she was the first girl I ever kissed, it was right on my bed actually :'(. I kinda discovered her by accident, at a school dance. She was haveing trouble with another guy, and i asked, "wtf is wrong with you" and we fell in love right after that. We broke up mabby 4 months ago. (It was a short relationship) But yeah, I still love her. Always will most likely. Social anxiaty sucks.

Ive had social anxiety my whole life. Im 27.  Relationships are not easy for us. I was with my boyfriend for a year and just couldnt meet his grandma. He told me if she didnt approve of me that was that. So obviously you understand I just couldnt meet her. We broke up because of that. We did end up working it out, but because I decided to fake it. Just a warning relationships are work to us kind of people.

I can't even look boys directly in their eyes because of my SAD. If someone looks at me or shows a little bit of interest I get scared and panic and literally run away. I hate it because I really want to be able to interact with people without panicking the entire time.

I just dont know how to be in a relationship. My mum was a single mum and i kinda feel like i just didnt get the training lol. I've been speaking to a guy online for a few weeks and he seems lovely, we started texting today but the though of meeting up with him just sends me into a panic. I hope i have the confidence to do this some day as i really want a family someday and i just hope i dont miss out on it cos of this stupid neurosis i seem to have :( x

heh, ive had this problem all my life... im 19 and only have one friend. i had two but she was my gf and we broke up two days ago because she cheated on me twice. she was my first gf and probably my last because i knew i was right in not opening up to anyone. you are very pretty btw.

Ive been single for 3 and a half years because of social anxiety, fear of heartbreak and not trusting that men interested in me are genuine...It sucks
