Doris Day's number in black and white movie 'Young Man with a Horn'. Song named 'I may be wrong, but I think you're wonderful'.

  • The best thing in this flick was Doris Day. The trumpet solos were probably played by Kirk Douglas while Harry was on the phone with Betty. Thanks to nickchip5 for posting this fine performance by Doris Day. Eddie in New York.

  • Ted McCord did the lighting on this. He later did the Sound of Music

  • Love the lines at the start of the dialogue. The lighting in this film is great

  • Does anybody know what musicians are playing here and whether or not they're the ones on camera? The 'trumpet player' (seated, behind DD's left shoulder) is clearly NOT; that's actor Juano Hernandez (his solos played by Jimmy Zito). JH's 'colleague' (conversing w/ 'complicated' girlfriend Lauren Bacall) is, of course, Kirk Douglas, as cornetist Bix Beiderbecke. HIS solos are played by Harry James; did HJ's orchestra - or, as in this example, its rhythm section - perform the music in this film?

  • great song , one of my favs , doris is always smooth , a pleasure to hear ....greg australia
