so if i have 200Amp contactor and 72volt system with 400Amps the contactor is gonna stop the current if the Amps are more then 200 is that right ?

good job! I worked for 3yrs troubleshooting contactors and other standard control components. Another tip is if the contactor doesnt pull in and its fed by a transformer, make sure the transformer has enough VA capacity as a coil requires a certain amount of "pull in" current to initially close the contactor.... not always a contactor problem.....just a heads up....but great vid!

A Relay will normally have a 'Common', 'Normally Closed' and Nornally Open' contacts a Contactor will just have open contacts - YMWV

I heard a rattling noise and went to check on it. I opened up the panel (after all power was shut off) and then turned on the furnace. The contactor was making the noise and the contact piece was moving up and down causing the noise. What can cause this and can I purchase another contactor and replace it?
