ICE SD40-2 6212, ICE SD40-3 6445 and ICE SD40-3 6100 lead the westbound M-CCNA through Davis Junction, IL. The train has finished working Davis Junction Yard and is now departing for Nahant Yard in Davenport, IA.

  • Love the whine the engine makes while revving up! We in India have only the WDP4 class locos that do this, because they are EMD GT46PACs and run on 2-stroke diesel engines....all the other diesel locos here are ALCo based and are 4-strokes..so they go chug-chug and smoke heavily while revving up :D

  • Same. You better get all the SD40-2s you can, because in 5 years, they will probably be extinct from Class I service.
