his argument that self server barcode swiping is difficult is total Bull S_hit to make his point. Nothing could be easier please get your head out of your ass!

@Kwasi5179 I've heard this argument so many times before about so many different technologies. I understand your concern but don't hastily mark everything you might have a doubt about as the mark of the beast.

“What we really want is an end to checkouts” Really? I don’t care about queuing at the checkout that much. I do however care about a multinational corporation, that’s only interested in money know my ever move, whereabouts and consumption habits. This is so satanic! Wake up people, cant you see that?!

This is a monstrous idea. God forbid this would happen in my lifetime. This demonic Englishman (surprise, suprise) is unabashedly selling idea as though it were a good thing. Only an idiot would think there was any benefit in being chipped like an animal in a zoo, is a good thing. Voluntary slavery! What happens if someone turns the rfid chip off, what if yours gets counterfeited with that of a wanted criminal? Is that a chance you would take for free broadband?

i was dreaming about ths technology , for long time, finally we have this. am sure, if the cost are very low everything will be tagged with RFID, include our shoes, so when we walk in to work , the Time in Records..
congratulation for RFID Technology
He also forced everyone, small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on his right hand or on his forehead, so that no one could buy or sell unless he had the mark, which is the name of the beast or the number of his name.

@Kwasi5179 Hmmm. People get very passionate about RFID, privacy and security. 666? Interesting that if you look at every printed bar code you will see that someone decided when inventing the system to put 6 at beginning, 6 in middle and a 6 at the end. Pick up any bar code item in your home and you will see this is true - 666 hidden in printed numbers above or below, used to calibrate bar code as it is read. But that does not mean tins of beans or packets of crisps are owned by the devil!

Sounds good, let's do it! That way someone can set off an EMP pulse and everything i grab is free of charge. Go home with it and microwave the chip so it can't be tracked! Has this idiot jackass of a speaker thought of that?!?

@MarkFaust RFID wireless barcodes already here, techno works well tho can as you suggest be tampered with or blocked with a big electromagnetic pusle - but would have to be sustained to disrupt - say - a retail store or warehouse.
