On November 20, 2010 we kicked-off this Holiday Season with the 7th Annual Tree-Lighting Ceremony. The evening began with a fire juggling act by the amazingly talented Aaron Bonk. Kenny Crumpton & Stacey Frey of Fox 8 hosted the ceremony introducing the High School Christmas Carolers, the Westlake Mayor, Mr. & Mrs. Westlake and all of our raffle winners. The raffle drawing included FREE tickets to see Playhouse Square Billy Elliot, Cleveland Indians, & Cleveland Cavalier games.
Here comes Santa Claus!
Santa arrived with a special escort -- Westlake Fire Department and Miss Teen Ohio USA Morgan Smigel. With the flip of a switch Santa lit up the Park! Fireworks shot from the rooftops lighting up the night sky. Immediately following the tree-lighting a Flash Mob broke out dancing in the streets! The huge crowd of people swarmed around the group making a massive dance circle.
