The owner's manual and settings for the British (and all CS pedals) can be downloaded from http://www.tech21nyc.com/support/index.html

A quick note about the VH setting: The mid control should have been at 11:30 and not at 1:00 as suggested in the Tech 21 settings guide. I will re-record this portion of the clip and upload an update in the near future.
This is the long version of my Tech 21 SansAmp 'British' demo. It's a great pedal for stage or studio use and will cover a LOT of the classic Marshall sounds. The 'Character' knob is your key to its versatility as it is on the other pedals in the series as well. Check it out it if you want a ready-to-go truck load of Marshalls in a box.

  • Good demo!

I was just wondering how it feels to play with that pedal...

Does it really feel like playing through a real marshall or is it just like all other emulators?and BTW is this analog or digital?

    Thanks! :)

  • @Nimrod9458 It's analog and nothing *feels* like playing a real Marshall. As far as the sound goes, though, you can sure park right next to the real thing. :)

  • hey, burgerman,

I love your videos...they're not only full of useful info and great tones, but of humour as well. I'm looking for a pedal to reproduce classic Marshall tones. I already own a Wampler Plexidrive and have been thinking about adding either the tech21 british or the Wampler Plextortion. Which one do you like better in front of a clean tube amp?

    Thanks!

  • @mfrieauff In front of a clean tube amp? That would be the Wampler. The Tech 21 stuff is great, but it works best (for me) as a preamp device and not so much a regular stompbox. YMMV, of course. Thanks for the kind words. :)

  • @burgerman666 sorry to bother you but oes the speaker emulation stay on whan the pedal is turned of ? what kind of bypass is it?

  • @Jcub90 Hey, that's cool, good question! From the manual: "Buffered bypass eliminates the shortcomings associated with “true bypass” (pops and clicks,

and high-end loss when multiple pedals are connected together), as well as signal loss associated with other types of switching circuits."

    There you go. :)

  • Dude, either you have king kong hands or your guitar necks are super slim. Rock on!

  • Why does one of your guitars have a hole in its headstock?

  • Does Tech 21 make a pedal that emulates a Fender Blackface? I've been looking at the Wampler 65 Overdrive but I wanted to know if there's anything else like that on the market

  • Awesome Playing bro cute Kid More Distortion and overdrive Pedals would be cool.Peace N Love Rock on Bugerman.Maxx Masters New York City Rocker and Actor.

  • Hi what a great demo here thank you ! What exact pick up do you have on the tele from brierley handwound cause i like the tone really!!

  • Oh well, Never mind. Maybe put the routing info at the beginning of the video instead of the end. Then incredibly inpatient people like me will get the info they need before their OCD kicks in and they need to start asking questions.

  • Are you going into the front of an amp, if so what kind? Or are you going into the Power Amp in/Effects Return?

Or are you going direct into something? If so, what?

Please add that info to the text when you change guitars.

    Great vids and playing. Thanks.

Just please include what it's connected to and what if any settings on that unit should be mentioned.
