This video documents the making of a temporary public art (part of a series of projects organized by IN:SITE in the Fall of 2007). Chris Murphy created a relief sculpture entitled "Choros." In the piece, over eighty cast faces in earth tones were mounted against two maroon panels. Behind the faces were solar powered panels so they are lit at night. The faces were cast using community volunteers and represent the people killed by gunfire in the City of Milwaukee during 2007. Murphy says, "With this piece I wanted to step back and remind myself that these numbers represent fathers, mothers, daughters and brothers who aren't coming to the table for dinner anymore." This video was produced by Sanvick/Rovetto for MATA Education Project.
