@odbc3 I swapped the wires over for the 2.5mm socket and it now works, so polarity is important when Di622 sits in the shoe of a PT-04CN.

Correct way is:

Top of test switch goes to outer part of socket.

Bottom of test switch wires to the socket inner part that then touches central pin.

I used a 2.5mm socket as this matches the cable supplied, and is smaller than 3.5mm so easier to fit.

MOD of test button to a 2.5mm socket triggers OK with iShoot PT-04CN.

Only works when Di622 is not attached to the receiver. When I plug the receiver in and then connect lead to receiver it fires as soon as the outer ring of the PC plug touches the PC socket on the receiver, The Di622 then acts weird. The green light goes out and a single orange power light shows which moves LEFT when I hit mode.

Will swapping of wires help it work in the shoe?

Isolating the pins in shoe does'nt help.

Any ideas?

I bought a Di622 for my EOS 40D yesterday unaware that there are compatibility issues with RF triggers. Surprisingly, the Di622 worked with my RF-602 trigger but I am disappointed that it can only surefire sync to 1/100. I get 1/250 with my 430EX II and I was wondering if the modification would make the Di622 sync at 1/250 to be worth doing it.

I'm just wondering if I got it right, 'coz the wires you attached to the capacitor/resistor beside the photocell were blue, but the ones attached to the switch were green. I'm not sure it those wires attached to turn on/off the photocell were directly attached to the switch or if they had to be attached somewhere else before connecting them to the switch.

@Jib1337 can you tell what type of flash trigger you know works with this flash via pc sync. and also what type of adapter . i am interested in buying this flash ad then using it mostly remotely.
