It is stories like these that they never told me about in church that have caused me to become an non-believer.
I'm sincerely curious how you get "OK" with these stories about "god"
Hope to hear back.

I understand that our actions have unintended consequences for others, but Archan's wife & kids being deliberately killed by order of god is not an unintended consequence of Archan's sin. It is an entirely INTENDED consequence. Intended by GOD & since there was no requirement to kill anyone other than Archan, the killing of his family is not only intentional but also completely excessive which makes it evil
So GOD went out of his way to kill women and children who bore no fault in the matter

And when I read Joshua 7 (the story of Archan), I am struck by the total injustice of the lord ordering Archan's wife, children & animals to be brutally stoned to death along with Archan's for his supposed sin.
How is it just to kill children for their parents' offenses?

If god is all powerful, all loving, all just and righteous, and if he wanted his "chosen people" to have this land, don't you think he could have figured a way to give them this land without needing to brutally murder babies?
I'm distressed to hear that instead of being troubled by this aspect of the story, you instead focus on the horns blowing and what symbolizes in your life today.
What about the murdered babies? Shouldn't the focus be on them?
Please help me understand.

So you read the story of the massacre at Jerico & that was what you took from it?
Joshua 6:21 And they utterly destroyed all that was in the city, both man and woman, YOUNG & old & ox & sheep & ass, with the edge of the sword.
I'm surprised you didn't notice how god approved the brutal murder of BABIES by way of slashing them with bronze age swords.
I repeat, he sanctioned murdering BABIES. He told them to leave NOTHING ALIVE.
How is this not an example of pure evil?
one thing I mentioned but didn't embellish on was "being on one accord with each other"... I want to mention this scripture to support it cuz I didn't in the video: in Joshua 7 all the Israelites lost an easy battle against Ai because ONE man sinned (Achan)
