Same thing happened to me at Indiana Downs yesterday, horse was about to draw clear at the 3/4 (had 80$ on him!! Though only @ 3:5 odds), I notice these ducks waddle onto the course, sure enough they get in the way, the horse spooks and breaks stride.. Amazingly, no inquiry! I was shocked that the stewards didn't at least look at it again! Any idea if they refunded wagers this race?

LOL. I remember winters at Pompano and races being delayed because alligators from the infield pond decided it was time to go bask under the lights at the 3/4 pole. I wonder if the poor bastard whose job it was to chase them off got hazard pay for that. LOL.
