This is a great 9mm Luger caliber DA / SA service-type semi-auto pistol, and a great buy too (at least it was at the time when I picked it up a couple of years ago).

I haven't had a single failure with this gun in hundreds of rounds - both before it was coated and after.

The professional Duracoat job was by an outfit in Anchorage AK called 7.62 Precision. A little pricy for a coating job (something like $180 for my two tone job) but they did it right - complete disassembly, media blast, and chemical clean prior to coating of each part. The finish has held up to solvents (Hoppes), lubes (Rem Oil and Spec 357) and use quite well too.

  • @TacticalGunGuy, I love that finish! I have Mac's Shootin Iron in Arizona do all of my pistols. I do the same color scheme. 9mm pistols - OD Green Lower, Black Slide; .45 pistols - Black Lower, OD Green Slide

  • @justdickie Mac did my Sig P220 in one of my other vids...his finish system is great.

  • man, $70 for crimson trace grips. I have to say that I'm jealous.

  • @zachk1983 yeah, I lucked out on that one!

  • Mec Gar. 17 rounders. $30ish. They work great. For a 9x19 pistol of this heft it should have max capacity. This thing feels great with the heavy steel & low impulse of the 9x19. For the sub $300 pistols it can't be beat.

  • @Friedstuffsable good tip - thanks.

  • Subbed.

  • @ Friedstuffsable, very much agree with the Mec-Gar mags. I use the 15 & 17 rounders in my S&W 5906, Kel-Tec SUB2000 & even my Kel-Tec P-11 when I'm at the range. They make mags for many manufacturers (OEM). Highly recommend them. Google Greg Cote for good deals on all Mec-Gar mags... great prices & great customer service.

  • thank a lot brother

  • @dogstar1967 nice! Yup, they have "meaty" grips for sure.
