Original FC Mobile:

Very flimsy build design! Wrong button layout (This HAS been addressed apparently in later revisions or from some sources that sell it under a different label) very touchy as games can sometimes glitch when moving
the unit even slightly. Odd design.

For the Average price of around $10 more from various sources online you can pickup the FC Mobile II and gain the benefit of:

*Better, sturdier unit.
*Wireless gamepads (x2)
*Wireless Gun
*Proper button layout
*Nicer design (in my opinion)

If you are considering this unit it is well worth the price!
A great addition if you currently have no other means to play NES carts!
Of COURSE it is somewhat silly to actually use this for "portable" play when you can run emulators on various handhelds just as well but this is very reasonably priced and since it can be hooked up to a real TV you cannot beat everything this system features and includes for the price!

Overall opinion / Suggestions:
Very cool, a great collectors item and conversation piece! Overall battery life seems very good though I have not had time to fully test it! As with all devices of this type I suggest HIGH CAPACITY Brand Name rechargables!

Stone Age Gamer Info:
Great prices, good customer services and communication!

  • this is illegal but nobody cares cuz its awesome!!! XD

  • @remektheyoshifan103 While I agree it is fun the fact is this, like all NES/Familcones produced after 2003 are NOT illegal, they may be considered unethical since Nintendo receives no $ from their sales in the eye of the law they have been legal since 2003 when Nintendos Famicom patent dates expired. You can check the FAMICLONES article at Famicom world site or google "are famiclones legal?" to see various links confirming this.

  • this is illegal

  • @remektheyoshifan103 no it isn't.

  • ok, awesome video realy good.

i just have one question. regarding the battery life of the unit.

(not the cotrollers or the zapper) but the unit itself.

how long does it last with full batterys and does it take rechargable ones?

cuz some devices dont, which sucks. sub'd.

  • @0M9H4X Thanks, rechargeable work fine they are all I use. The trick is to make sure you buy very high capacity rechargeable they are not all they same. I use ones rated between 2500-2650 mah. I cannot tell you how long they last as I have not played them long enough to drain completely and I just do not have the time to do that kind of testing.

  • @remektheyoshifan103 no its not dickhead, the nintendo patent went out in 2003

  • @snkjack FC 16 Go man.

  • @SicSolution I know it's been almost a year but I had been sorting through my collection and had a opportunity to test. I tried 2 games (LOW G MAN / SKY SHARK) several codes and they appeared to have no effect at all. Good chance you know this already but I figured since I tested I might as well post the results. The Game Genie booted and I entered codes but they appeared to have no effect on my FC Mobile II OR my new Retron 3. Seems it is not NOAC compatible.

  • omg i soooooooo want one! I have all my nintendo games still but no nintendo and the fact that this not only is portable like gameboy is but it can be hooked into the tv with an adapter! thats awesome man thanks for sharing that treasure of info :)
