1991 - 1993 format for the old WFIL-AM 560 when allied with WEAZ-FM at the time. The station was trying to get some of the old WWSH "You're listening to WWSH stereo 106" market.

  • @mrmoore1970 I loved that station. Easy listening music is underrated. No one seems to play it anymore, sad.

  • Thanx much!!!

  • It's called "Sleepy Shores" and was recorded by Johnny Pearson.

  • Can anyone identify the music in this clip? I have loved that for 30 years and never knew the name of it...

  • I miss Famous 56 WFIL Phil - a - delphia.

  • Awesome! This sounds so much like the old WWSH station, when they used to say, "WWSH...WISH, Stereo 106...All Day, All Night, All Nice." Thanks for posting!

  • Interestingly, this station never bore the WISH call letters. Legally it was still WEAZ, except during its final days, when it became WBEB to match the FM. Good find. I remember the spot well, and was always intrigued by Jerry Lee's use of WPEN's and KYW's frequencies in his commercials!
