The DIY Basics on installing carpet squares. This video is part of DIY Basics show SHOW DESCRIPTION :DIY Kits and Basics are short video tips with simple, printable instructions and specific product lists of everything you'll need to get the job done right.
I bought carpet in 3'x3' squares about 1/4" thick with some sort of a rubber backing and I need to know how to glue them down. Can I use carpet tape or glue? If I use glue, should I cover the whole floor or just the edges of the squares?

Absolutely do not have to glue them. They have squares with a sticky background, you just peel off the plastic and lay down. It is a great idea for spills and pets, etc. that is why alot of people like the squares as a option. The squares will not move with the sticky background, and eventually if you decide to pull them off, and go back to the wood floors worst case would be to spend 30 minutes cleaning your floors. Good luck

We want to put carpeting on our enclosed porch and are considering carpet squares in case of accidents by our dog or other spills. Good idea? We have hardwood floors - do we have to glue the squares to prevent them from moving?
Thanks for your help!

I'm thinking of installing this in a house I'm flipping but know very little about it. I cant imagine it would be too comfortable to walk on without a pad underneath. Durability? Any suggestions would be much appreciated.
