Jacquelyn Campbell, PhD, RN is the Anna D. Wolf Chair and a Professor in the Johns Hopkins University School of Nursing with a joint appointment in the Bloomberg School of Public Health. She is probably the leading authority on the health impact of domestic violence -- she is widely published and oft cited. She is interviewed in the domestic violence documentary film "Power and Control: Domestic Violence in America." This video and others relating to domestic violence, along with transcripts, can be found at www.powerandcontrolfilm.com.

  • Jackie is one of the most impressive experts we interviewed for the film. She is of course a leading authority on the medical aspects of domestic violence, but has a long history of involvement in the issue and is thus a pillar of the battered women's movement.

  • No one has articulated it as perfectly as this. There is so much that goes wrong after you call out for help you are in survival mode and you don't think to ask for help for your physical injuries.

    Thank you for this documentary.
