Some images of the impact of Hurricane Katrina and the New Orleans Flood.
Amazing that this terrible event happened back in August 2005, but the questions it raised remain relevant with 2008 having all too many human disasters already.
Weak Glue is a song writen about the New Orleans Flood and it's aftermath from TV Smith's new album "In The Arms of My Enemy" released May 2008.
The album features a group of muscians with a strong pedigree:
Tim Renwick on guitar having played with Al Stewart, Elton John, Procol Harum, David Bowie, Mike Oldfield, Gary Brooker, Roger Waters, Eric Clapton and, most notably, Pink Floyd.
Tim Cross on keyboards; played with Mike Oldfield, Sally Oldfield, Doll By Doll
Vom on drums, Die Toten Hosen, Dr & the Medics, the Boys
And of course TV Smith; the Adverts ("Gary Gilmore's Eyes") the Explorers, Cheap
The video is made from images taken from youtube; lilspoiledazn, thewhirlingfirefly, and Extremestorms - I hope you didn't mind!

I guess you weren't there when it hit Baton Rouge.
I was and it was awful no lights and air conditioning for 8 days.
My house was covered in mud and broken tree limbs.
The tree in my front yard fell across the street and hit the house sitting across from mine.
We sold our house and moved far away from the south due to this.
Yes it could have been worse but not by much.
I learned after Katrina to never open the front door to the police because they will arrest you and jail you for staying.
