  • Thanks Jeff.... Help us to transform America.

  • Vote Ron Paul, we have a constitution to defend and implement, the last years the gov has been stepping on the constitution, OCCUPY YOUR RIGHT TO VOTE, VOTE RON PAUL! the only one that wants to give the power to the people!

  • what a putz...i hope Columbia yanks its funding for the Earth Institute

  • @MrCapeVerde Its a microphone system. So the people sitting way back can hear what's going on. This is the way they've been communicating with huge numbers of protesters for a while.

  • A revisionist gadfly! Hitler was convincing, too, when he wanted the votes of the German people.

  • @WindellComics

I think he has rethought his ideas on shocking a country in to having a market structure. He can't change what he did. People have to look at where he is coming from now.

  • @MrCapeVerde

    Peace :)

  • @winterrosscharlton Picking the 70's as a starting point isn't so bad. Securitization started in the 70's, so there are some options for choosing a starting point. Supply side economics also starts out in the 70's and the concommitant idea that an ever expanding GDP (no matter the type of production) means prosperity for all. Sachs knows about the deeper history, he's giving an informal practical talk. There's a time and place to go into the origins of the Federal Reserve.

  • @ClearOutSamskaras I didn't know that, thanks for the clarification.

  • @MrCapeVerde

I was wondering why this was being done. I don't think it's some silly exercise. Remember Mayor Bloomberg and the police are prohibiting megaphones; so this is a substitution for amplifying a speakers voice. The speaker says something and then it's repeated by a crowd so that persons further away from the speaker can hear what is being said. It looks a little awkward but makes sense, don't you think?
