dont know what yer all smokin but ive had my 96 ranger 4x4 with the 4.0 doing 115. took it a while but it never shut down

mine has the 4x2 3.0L V6 sport so it really has a pussy engine, but oh well, at least Im not driving a civic right? I used to have a 94 ranger supercab with the 4.0L v6 I fucking loved that truck until I changed it for this one.

yep :( ... I want to take it off... but I dont know how... in the video had the stock tires... but now with the mud tires can only go to like 97-98mph if im lucky =(

@waldir I know exactly what you mean, I had a 1994 Ranger with the 4.0 and it had had plenty of power. Now I have a 2004 Ranger XLT extended cab with a 3.0 and it's the weakest truck I ever owned. I have another 2004 with the 4.0 SOHC and that truck will haul some ass. Ford never should have put the 3.0 in the Rangers. The 2.3 DOHC has almost as most power and gets way better gas mileage.

@johnnyboy922 i was rolling 265/75/15s thats factory tire size on my ranger and its got 373s thats when i was on the interstate doing 115.

@waldir yea i got an 02 ranger edge with the 4 door option with the 4.0 sohc and its a bad ass motor. shuts down at 92 but ima chip it and put a cold air intake on it here soon. ive outrand my friends 98 chevy with a 350 in it

@ForeverTruelyWhite91 if had my 97 4x4 with the 4.0 5 speed going 100 then i ran out of straight road. i could have taken it for more but 31's are not exactly rated for high speed and lifted does not do well either lol

yea the 3.0s might not be huge powerhouses but they will take some abuse and run forever

If you have the ranger that isnt 4x4 it goes 105Mph. I have a 97 ranger, scared to take the gov off tho. Just in case i blow the engine...
