We've all been there, whether it's someone teaching us or teaching someone else. It's a beautiful and fulfilling life experience equal to witnessing your child's first steps. We checked out the bike yesterday and he bought it today. It's a Black 2009 Ninja 250r with 2,700 miles, PUIG windscreen, Full Yoshi Exhaust System, Disc Lock, Cryptonite Chain, Targa Fender Eliminator, Stage 2 Jet for only $3,000 and let me tell you... It sounds AMAZING! The growl is not only deep but LOUD. I was rev happy the entire time I rode it back for him. We took it to a nearby parking lot right away for his first lessons and yes, I recorded everything.

When he first sat on my bike two days ago, he was in love. When he first saw his potential future bike yesterday, he was even more in love. When he learned how to ride his bike today, he was at a loss for words. I'm not a MSF teacher so I missed a few things here and there, but eventually caught up. I tried recording as much of my comments as possible, but I forgot a few times in the heat of the battle. He did pretty good since he already knows how to drive manual and understands the way it works. I had a more difficult time since I've never driven manual before and only studied it.

We still have a lot more to work on. I need to get him ready for stop and go traffic, more slow turns, U-turns for his road test. Still need to teach him counter-balance, counter-steer, leaning and cornering. I've only been riding for around 2 months, and I know there's still a lot for me to learn.

  • I know how to drive a manual and I've ridden dirtbikes, how would I do with this? My friend is gonna let me ride his :)

  • @SiiKxKiiLLer Similar but different. Just remember if you fall, it's not going to be on dirt anymore.

  • ok this is how you up shift! now go try it! when you get back i'll tell you how to down shift!! ... woah wait crap! lol

good exercises to get more comfortable you seem to be doing a good job teaching

  • @VanquishedWolf lmao

  • I have a question man. I have been riding dirtbikes my whole life and I am really good at riding them but would it be a bad ideo to start riding a Ninja ZX6R because I want to ride fast and have that ability but at the same time I want the best for me. Thanks and GREAT video!!!!

  • @xYoungWill I've never rode dirt bikes, but it's a different riding style and the rules of the road vs dirt are 2 different worlds.

  • I can't stand the normal, I need a 250. Get what you want. I have a cbr 600, first bike.

  • would you recommend this bike fro beginner?

  • Thanks for making this vid. I am a new rider with a 2010 ninja 250 and the vid helps a ton.

  • You teaching him will make u a better rider as well. I agree having known how to drive a clutch since I was like 12 it was easy at 27 to jump in and tackle a bike. But good looking out for your buddy ! Ride safe and with gear. Us Kawasaki guys don't like to be grouped with squids

  • I have been driving an old Stick Shift Ford truck for 4 years, but what is a Engine break ? Ive never heared anyone say that

  • @we5leyz pretty much yea, similar, but the handling will feel allot different on a street bike then a dirt bike, but being fimilier with the controls already will put you miles ahead of most new riders.
