Paul Gallico's "The Snow goose" story was first published in The Saturday Evening Post in 1940 and won the O. Henry award in 1941. He lived long enough to see his timeless short story come to life. Well directed and acted, this made for TV movie won a Golden Globe award and Jenny Agutter was awarded an Emmy for her performance. The movie was also Emmy nominated in 8 other categories.
Heartfelt and wonderfully done movie about a lonely man Philip Rhayadar (Richard Harris) who helps local girl Frith (Jenny Agutter) rescue a wounded goose from hunters. Enjoy.
