Instructor Alvin Chen working the mitts during a training session at the NFCMA headquarters in Chicago's Chinatown. Competing in full-contact sports requires a practitioner to adapt his/her fighting and training methods to best achieve victory within the context and environment of the said competition. This clip illustrates the adaptation of particular Choy Lay Fut techniques and concepts into the training regiment for a sport orientated format.

  • What Tai Chi legacy? A real Tai Chi Legacy would be someone in the same caliber as Ren Gong Li or higher. I am not a Tai Chi Practioner but let us not give Tai Chi a bad name. I have seen Ren and his teacher and beleive me, no one in this country can touch them. ( They are one of the top Chen Tai Chi practitioners in the world).

  • Taiji Legacy is the name of an annual tournament held in Texas hosted by Sifu Jimmy Wong (a close friend of Sifu Sam Ng) that is host to many different events including (but definately not limited to) Taiji, traditional, wushu, sanda, etc. I'm not sure the purpose of your comment, but we know full well who Sifu Ren is, as he is a friend of ours.

  • Don't take this as talking shit, or thinking i'm better.

When you do body shots, or hooks at all. Don't cock your arm back like that. If you were in the ring you'd end up eating a kick or a punch
