CGI - Meteor Hits Earth (I Know, Fire Not Possible)

This is one of my first bits of 3D animation. In it, some meteors head towards Earth and hit it. Obviously in real life, there would be no fire coming from it in space, but it would look crap without it in this video; something which SEVERAL dumbasses thought they'd try and point out as if it wasn't already obvious.

if you see a commet, note that the tail of

the comet is always pointing AWAY from the

sun. its the magnetic field of the sun that

pushes all the trailing particles away.

for it to trail in its path means the trial

of particles are directed by the pressense of

an atmosphere. but its animated better then i

can possebly ever could.

There wouldn't be enough friction there to start a fire by itself, and there is not enough oxygen to keep such a fire from dissapating immediately.

Not the point, though. This is an awesome animation.
