although australia could have defeated italy, italian footballers are now racially called 'divers', so australians are no better.
the teams were equally matched, however, australia could not take the advantage of italy having 10 men

there are people out there who think that we australians complain to much about decisions. it doesn't matter how many times i look at that replay, its not a penalty. Grosso contacted Lucas, Lucas did not contact Grosso. against Brazil, we put our hands up and excepted that we were beaten fair and square by a respectable side with a great manager. but we simply don't put up with incorrect decisions which decide the outcome of games. This is the way italy get their points.
they did it again this world cup against New Zealand. they were loosing to a team some 70 odd spots below them and oh take a dive and there we go point won.
they should be ashamed they are "world champions" and almost lost to New Zealand. not to take anything away from the Kiwi's they played brilliantly. oh and yeah how much do the italian's get paid professionally as players?? two of the Kiwi's are amateurs and have day jobs! Typical Italian acting!

the refereeing towards australia in the tournament was a joke, they always favoured the big nations like brazil, italy and japan when we had vsed them and we got absolutly no rub of the green, hopefully in 2010 the refereeing will bloody improve. up australia!
