As you have rightly guessed - it is indeed a joke. You may notice that the voice over says "talented", as a picture of a young man appears - that's me, and it is meant entirely tongue in cheek (and in no way to be taken seriously). Hope this clears things up and doesn't put you off the alpha course as it's awesome.
