I'm glad to see ROPE listed because it's vastly underrated even by Hitch himself (conversation with Truffaut). To me it's arguably his greatest films in economy, depth, and mise-en-scene. Then PSYCHO, SPELLBOUND (the last 2 with Hitch's 2 greatest film scores), NORTH BY NORTHWEST, and finally TROUBLE WITH HARRY, another underrated masterpiece (in his popular volume on H's films, Robin Wood pretended the film didn't even exist for reasons of which I'm unaware! That book was over-rated anyway.
