The Seasons, op.37bis No.6
June, Barcarole
The twelve pieces titled The Seasons op.37b were composed between December 1875 and May 1876 (roughly contemporary with the ballet Swan Lake), as the result of a commission from the editor of the monthly music journal Nuvellist for an original piano miniature to be included in every edition throughout 1876. They were later published by Jurcienson as a set in 1885.

@sevcik2 Thank you. I adore Tschaikowsky. He was the first real composer I fell in love with as a child. I think his music has been with me all my life. Where would ballet be without him? If God gave the gift of melody to any one composer, it was to the great Tchaikowsky.
