All rappers sample tunes, melodies, lyrics, flows etc from many different artist, genres, movies, books, etc... always has happened.

@McCarthyRulez Except that they aren't similar. Granted he sampled the backing but the lyrics are completely different which disregards your comments of him being a thief. The difference between sampling and stealing being he had permission to use the music. Don't mac K-os when you clearly don't know anything about his music (or music in general)

@McCarthyRulez Lol actually no. K-os sampled the beat he didn't steal it. As for the lyrics, you're a fool if you think he stole them. The only common ground they have is "I've been on the run" juxtaposed to Phantom Planets "we've been on the run. Also they both mention a gun in the beginning "When you were under the gun" (k-os) and "hustlers grab your guns". Not to mention K-os' verse lyrics would double Phantom Planets. If it wasn't for the oc that shit wouldn't be famous,it's repetitive junk
