  • Good job. What control system are you using? Keyboard + mouse or wheel + pedals? Commodore Amiga, right?

  • @hollywoodjim I used Keyboard only. It's the PC version of the game.

  • Thankyou for posting this video, bought back so many good memories. I used to play this game ALL the time back in the 90's. I agree with other comments, it was years ahead of its time. You could really feel the car underneath you, even just on the keyboard. I once did a 1m16s around Monaco on a set of D tyres using a joystick. I was practically breathless at the end. Simply one of the best games of all time, no doubt about it.

  • It's possible to play this game on the Nintendo DS. You just need the "SuperCard DSTWO", the files of the original game and the homebrew-dos-emulator "DS2x86" (by Patrick Aalto) and then this great game runs perfect on Nintendos little Handheld. Brilliant, F1 wherever you are... so much fun!

  • Microprose use to do the best simulations until HASBRO snuffed it!

  • Hehe, maye there´s an alternative to connect IPs ?

I don´t have the game anymore I think and I´m not sure it works under vista. But it would be fun.

Maybe Tungle is OK for this ?

  • @HF1600ie I have tried it online with direct connect emulation over IP in Dos Box, it works very very poorly unfortunately. On the other hand if you also enjoyed ICR1 or ICR2, that works great in dos box with IP connection.

  • Probably the game i´ve played most in the 90s. You driving is very good.

I remember I got sick of the game, because I ended up races with 2 or 3 laps in advance of the second place driver. I had about every setup for every track (qualifying and race individually). This game was far ahead it´s time.

I also remember the top speed without "wind-tunnel" was 346km/h in Germany. hehe, good days !! I wonder if we can play this online...these days?

  • @saulocpp That's why i've said that. It's funny to read things about Shift being a simulator.

  • @HeikkiX360 NFS games are not simulators.
