This video refers to a small plane crash which took place near Clear Lake, Iowa, United States on February 3, 1959, killing three popular American rock and roll musicians: Buddy Holly, Ritchie Valens, and J.P. "The Big Bopper" Richardson, as well as the pilot, Roger Peterson

About the music:
"Three Stars" is a song written by Tommy Dee and first recorded by EDDIE COCHRAN in 1959 as a tribute to Buddy Holly, Richie Valens and the Big Bopper. Dee had a very little success in the 1960s with his RCA singles. The late Rock pioneer Eddie Cochran died in 1960 aged only 21 years

We have received following message!

Hello there.

We are making a film about the Big Bopper. His son is one of the producers. However, we are trying to get the funding in order to tell this overdue story.

You can see the website for the film at www.bigboppermovie.com

If you know anyone who would want to invest in the film, I would love it if you would ask them about it. It is a great investment; this film will go big in the United States, where we are filming, and I am sure that people in the UK and Australia will line up to see it as well since he was very popular in those countries.

Thank you so much for your time.

  • Went to see Jack Scott last week. He's 75 now. What a man!

  • @laviolette64

did he sing "What In the World's Come Over You"?

  • It's really hard to imagine where these 3 stars would have ended up if they never died back then. Ritchie's career was just taking off, I'd imagine he would have had a couple more hits before beatlemania. Its hard to see where big bopper was headed, but he had potential as a song writer. But one thing's for sure Buddy Holly was gonna get bigger and more successful, he was nearly as established s Elvis, but he didn't have the looks so I doubt they'd put him in movies .He'd adapt to the 60's.

  • @hopop313

with Buddy Holly alive the Beatles and many others would have never existed.

  • The world waits over 50 years to find a talent like Buddy Holly, someone who could change this boring music world!

  • 52 YEARS TODAY This date may be before your time but, it seems as though it was just yesterday for some of us. Buddy Holly and The Crickets had a couple of big hits, “That’ll Be the Day” and “Peggy Sue”.Ritchie Valens had three big songs, “Come On, Let’s Go”, “Donna” and “La Bamba”.J. P. Richardson “The Big Bopper” had one big hit “Chantilly Lace” in 1958.These three guys were the forerunners to a lot of the music that we hear today and the world lost a lot of talent on February 3, 1959
