  • Is this out on CD in any form? If so, tell me where! I love 11.17.70, but this kills it.

  • @nieckolai

yes in the HERE AND THERE Album, released in 1976... lovely live double cd!

  • My God... this is monsterously good!!!! Can't get enough!

    OOOOOOOOOOOOH! 6:33

  • yeah!! buy Here and There (it's a live album) VERY NICE!! all songs are like this and quality is very good

  • Jeez.. I thought Here and There was from 1976! I had that one years ago! Nothing like this on it! Gotta get out more!

  • Here and There is a live album edited in 1976 but contains 2 concerts from 1974, in London (here) and New york (there) . Both great concerts, this track was taken in London; other nice versions are Skyline Pigeon, Love Song... THe concert in NY instead is famous because John Lennon played together with the EJ band. :D

  • An extraordinary version of a song that was once very popular but is now seldom heard. Genius!

  • @ antdigger Hard for him to rip off April Wine when he and Bernie Taupin wrote and recorded it in 1970 before April Wine recorded it in 1971

  • This guy ripped off April Wine.

  • @TheMeanSgtPlaysPiano Elton, April Wine covered it

  • Whose came first? April Wine or Elton John?

  • @TheCanadianmade1

Dude, I'm Canadian but I think Elton's version is better.

  • Canada's April Wine had the best version of this song. John's doesn't come close.

  • really really great - thanks for posting this

  • Never heard this version before, it is Great! I have the original studio version on a UK import album titled "Lady Samantha" which I bought in a TSS record shop (in Elmont, NY) in the 80's. I also enjoy the 11.17.70 version, but this is the best, I think. You can tell that this is from 1974...I hear the influence of bells like you hear in "Lucy in theSky", also from 1974. Elton, your voice in the early 70's was at its prime. Wish we had it back.

  • please somebody find guitar tabs for intro

  • Best version I've ever heard, thanks for uploading!
