Just put these on my Sporty. Wanted a change from the Khromewerks I had on there. I don't find these to be loud. They sound great but they're not loud imo. Loud to me is when ya can hear a bike from a mile away. Not so with these. I like them though and recommend them.

Some kind of baffles maybe, the holding screw is still in place and I see something around the inside, but I can stick a 1.6inch diameter pole all the way up the mufflers and out other end. I guess some baffle plates have been knocked out by the previous owner. Sounds just like the ones in the vid, nice but much too loud and makes old age pensioners jump and police put on blue lights!!. Getting some 1.75inch short baffles and tacking them inside.

just fitted a set of python 3 slip-ons on my 2009 883r .they sound like a harley should . great video helped me to make up my mind on which pipes to get ....

awesome sound and bike! try a Lepera seat (could be Maverick or BareBones), you will see the difference in the look and comfort. I use the Maverick and it is fantastic for the XLCustom

got a secabd hand pair of Python3's. very loud. Should I be able to see right throgh them ?

Well you can see through them,but at least there should be SOME kind of baffles in it!
There´s a little screw on the downsifde of the pythons, loosen the screw and you should be able to take out the baffles. To make it more quit, use dam material-it´s some sort of fireproof cotton wool, especialy for quietening mufflers.
