@SamuelStephen28 What Stephen means is that the word of the preacher or minister who speaks is what it is. When listening to a sermon/exhortation or anything of the sort, judge it objectively (for or against the Word of God, as is said), rather that judging it subjectively (from your point of view, which may be biased towards the person whom you see as a "man of God," and therefore, as having good intention). Only God can see the heart. Don't try to. Judge by exactly what he/she said.

@MusicRodent Thank you!

@cheesypasta Matt 7:1 says, "Judge not, that you be not judged."
Most people use this to defend their tolerance of sin (Ex. That guy's addicted to porn but I won't tell him that that's a sin because I look at porn too - in the end, both of them are going to keep on sinning). We're not taught to tolerate, but to show respect. Respect will confront the brother/sister of their sin, and correct them (by pointing it out through the Scripture). Hope that makes sense.

@SamuelStephen28 I think he is saying not to try and proudly disprove a teacher, about having respect for authority? I dont get the hypocrictical interpritation of matt 7:1, what is it?
-
(Accept!) the fact that what the preacher said is what he said/
whether wrong or right or whatever/
dont try to get all up in his head/
I don't get this part.

hard on point as usual from this guy

Do NOT accept the unbiblical philosophy that you cannot question (lovingly and without divisiveness) what comes from your pulpit or even the ideologies of your church or culture. We are CALLED to do that as believers. That was a phenominal job at articulating that by Stephen the Levite! Praise God.
