can i just ask you for my own training:is it best to use a 7-foot bar to do bent over rows,or does it not matter at all if i use a 6-foot or 5-foot bar for this exercise? would a particular bar-length be most advantageous for this exercise?

Hi gaijinyakuzza! Nope, never get shoulder pains. The thing to do is never let your shoulders drop at the bottom of the movement.
