  • @slemgurt2 Great story! Everytime we have relatives visit from Japan they bring us a TON of packs of curry blocks, there are so many new flavors coming out all the time it's always exciting to see what's new. Enjoy the curry and let us know how it turns out :)

    We'll peek at our local supermarket if they have the "philly steaks" cuts, but we're doubtful since we're not in the Northeast~

  • hahaha, i love this kind of beef too. Some butchers and even supermarket chain grocery delis/butches in the Northeast US, at least, sell a shaved cut for "philly steaks" or "philly cheese steaks". To make it easier to cut the really thin beef it's really helpful to pop the raw beef in the freezer covered for ten or fifteen minutes, and then cut it while it's a bit frozen but pliable. it'll come up to appropriate temperature in no time.

    We can't tell if your serious or not but if truly don't have any we suggest going to the store or ordering them online to make it. Does that answer your question?
