Z06 gave up early cuz 6th is geared for alpha centari and the driver didnt wanna see the m5 pass him on top end haha. Typical muscle car driver.

big difference is the M5 is just a better car. The corvette will fall apart and be full of squeaks and rattles by 100000 miles The M5 will drive like it was new. American cars are just plastic junk. any asshole can strap a huge engine on a bucket and make it go fast, it's all about the build quality.

@westy44cal Really ?i have a c6 z06 and it goes 198 mph i dont think it loses that much ground to anything short of a buggati veyron .In fact if we talk about sixth gear it will top out higher than gtr,m6,911 twin turbo,any pre 08 viper,audi r8 and on and on and on so please before you underestimate the c6 z06 think again.

Dammnit Z06 wins again and again and again lol great car that z06 but still prefer BMW. We have to get the fucking G-Power (super modded) to beat a z06 not a good look we have to add turbos to win sucks, but what do us BMW people say " bet ill leave that z06 when its gets to some twisty roads" idk could spank us there too lol 5.0/7.0 v10/v8 expensive/not that expensive still BMW for me

Regardless. The 5th gear in the C6Z is a weak gear. Tall is the better word. the ZR1 has better top end gearing. DUDE
