After watching several of the enlisted basic training videos and the CGA videos there is a clear discrepancy between training personnel (granted this is based on youtube, so I could be wrong). In the Cape May vids you can clearly see that it's being run by a trained company commander, but when I watch this video it reminds me more of a power-drunk frat senior abusing his status to yell at/haze a pledge. They both use the "tear 'em down, build 'em back up" method, but there is no respect here.
@wiredfm2002 What a pussy! It's a military academy, not a prissy little liberal arts college from Massachusetts. If it was abuse like your saying, these kids wouldn't of signed up for it in the first place.
@wiredfm2002 I went to the CGA prep school and then entered the Academy with this class. Although PEP is not fun, it is part of the experience. Also, being at the Academy, there are strict rules that cadre must follow. This is nothing compared to any services enlisted basic training.
I was saying one day to another dad that yelling at your sons is a sign that you love your sons. The other dad's eldest son was standing nearby and said, "Gee dad, you muse love me a lot."

@wiredfm2002 This isn't abuse, this is called the Military. They knew what they were signing up for. Next time think before you post something.

This is stupid! Shame on Coast Guard, for using abuse as a way of teaching.
