Some may say he has an arrogant or elitist tone, but he is right in saying that the arts are watered down because of everyone having a voice... and a hunger for self-indulgence. Art for me is a hobby, not something I can depend on or even think of as a consistent form of employment. In this age, you have to be serviceable and versatile, not 'creative'. I'll continue to paint, draw, print, whatever. I just don't want to indulge myself and drag the world around me down.
