@sanderson9999 It is best to use slices (or the B button) when you see that the opponent is starting to overpower you, The reason being is because if you use topspin (or the A button) when the opponent is hitting very strong shots, your topspin shot will act like a lob, giving the opponent an opportunity to use a smash.
The best time to use slices is when you return services, or high powered topspin shots.
For any other case, use topspin since it is more powerful than a slice.
