As long as you do not mind poverty, you might find the life style is agreeable. Many people want to try it and find they hate it when they have tried it for a month or two.

Howdy. I work on a cattle ranch: I did not buy any property. I have no house. Internet access is 15kb upload, and around 55kb download. I've lived here 3 years. I answered an ad in a newspaper about a animal caretaker job in the wilderness.

I've always said they should teach basic survival skills in public schools. You never know when you might need them.

Another thing you could do if the solar panels are in shade is place a big mirror somewhere, or a piece of metal or something, to reflect the sunlight onto them.
