I drive a bus and have been accused of all kinds of crap. Parents need to realize that their kids go wild on the bus and try to get away with anything they can. Schools and Bus companies DO NOT stand by the drivers. Even when we have cameras. And my kids never SHUT UP at rail road crossings and I have set for 10 mins til they decide to be quiet. WAKE up parents and smell the coffee. Why dont you try driving the bus if your so smart.

@setheries As a student I cannot stress how annoying it is to not be able to talk. Definitely reprimand the two fighting, but please don't reprimand the whole bus.

@setheries i'm a schoolbus driver. i agree that some drivers are too stict, you have to be able to handle noise. especially in the afternoon. i don't have a problem unless the kids are going to do something to get hurt or if they are fighting. i try to keep my mind on the road most of the time.

@duck0702 Bus drivers take such risks. It must be so hard to drive around all day without any cognitive process. This bus driver is at fault because he made a mistake not the kids. What happened to remembering back when you were a kid? Quite frankly this bus driver dealt with this situation very poorly and I know he could have avoided the situation altogether by letting the children have a little freedom like I don't know TALKING.

@stcbenz83 Amen! We have ABSOLUTELY NO support and quite frankly, were at fault everytime something goes wrong! I love my job but it is very scary to think of the risks we take everyday and without any backup!

@duck0702 Very much so!! My middle school run last year was horrible. What does a driver sdo when they have no support from the office or school district officials which is most often the case? We have rules to follow and so do the kids. Can't accept the bus rules then mom and dad, you can drive your kids to and from school.

Okay, this coming from a bus driver, sometimes you have no choice. What's the point of making a fuss. If they had just listened in the first place and did NOT talk and pass the paper around, they're would NOT have been a problem. It's difficult enough to drive and watch kids too, but when your hauling misbehaving kids, it's even worse!

I was in that Bus and they havent interveiwed us yet. They really Need to cause everyone on the Bus is starting to think that Austin is lazy and doesnt Care about us.
