i want to put this cam in my 305 76 camaro... did you have to do anything to the transmission

Man sounds nice, I have 327 I rebuild but was thinking about going with a bigger cam. I was checking the net to see if any 1
use the veedoo 60105 cam and how they like it. Is it street friendly what are you idling at. Any problems with power brakes.
I came from chevytruck forum. My car is on youtube 1st start up.

I run the same cam in my 327 with a very similar setup. Just a 4speed and 4.10s. spins way up there I have buzzed 7500 a few times (still nervous to go much more) and youre right it doesnt wanna stop pulling. Sounds great.

I'm curious to see how the 305 takes this cam....Transmission is pretty much stock. I rebuilt it with a b&m shift kit and put a new vacuum modulator on. I'm running a tight B&M Holeshot converter which lets it idle nicely and stalls around 3000 rpm. I installed a B&M quicksilver shifter which adds to the fun.

that thing sounds lively... whats your bottom end power like on the street?

thanks, it has a personality of its own, thats for sure. bottom end power depends on what your foot does really. with the 3000 stall verter, i can launch right into sweet spot 2500-6500 and it doesn't stop pulling the whole way. idles best around 950 in gear but still rough / 1150 in park. its a fun cam and its thirsty too.

So the low end is there as well as the top end. So a 3k stall works good with that cam. Im thinking of getting that cam with the rpm heads. What does your car run at the track?

low end is good with traction, 3k is cool but 3500 verter would be better. vacuum is low and it likes a lot of initial, but its pretty friendly once tuned. you want somewhere from 9.5 -10.5 comp and 3.73's + and its a fun cam, also, i only use valvoline racing oil. mid-high 12's at the track with iron heads 91 octance calif. gas. gas guzzler big time but a blast to drive.
