  • I am proud to say that I got baptized last Sunday in a non-denomination church that teaches directly from the Bible. It was about a 20 yr. long struggle but I finally saw Joseph Smith for what he is; a false prophet. I no longer "Follow the prophet" as the infamous Mormon song states, I now follow Jesus Christ. In Matthew 24 Jesus speaks of false messiah's and false prophets and states many people will be deceived. I was deceived for 20+ years!

  • @scottwins2 Okay, now explain something:

LDS teaches that SmYth interpreted these "plates" by staring at magic rocks in a white hat. Since Oliver Cowdery was SmYth's main scribe, and since he saw testified that he saw the plates, then why does LDS depict SmYth studiously studying these "plates", (as opposed to staring at magic rocks in his hat) all while a curtain is supposedly blocking Oliver Cowdery's view of the plates?? What need was there for a curtain?

  • @jaredma1 Find a Bible believing church and stop following falsehoods!

  • @scottwins2 Yes and good old Joe was indeed capable of deception...Look at how many wives he Could find. Joe was a deceiver!

  • @scottwins2 Yes and old Joe was a liar!

  • @HodiJSnitch

If it were not by spiritual eyes, why did they they have to have faith to see them? Nobody needs faith to see a tree or a book.

  • Bill, I support your research and find it valid. What I don't understand is the testimony of the 8 and 3 witnesses. I just read them again in Whitmers book you mention here, they all claim an angel showed them to each and they saw the engravings. What is your view as to why these people, who all appear to be family members of Joseph Smith, would say something like this? Was LSD available in the 1820's or are they inebriated? I am being serious. I know you claim it was with spiritual eyes.
