  • @Ditchliker You're right.

  • @dragerger I completely disagree with your generalization that 4 mallet pieces are "poor". I don't understand your logic, 4 mallets doesn't require more or less concentration, it just requires the same amount of practice 2 mallets does. The feel of the music is solely dependant on the musician. What you are saying is that piano players are horrendous because they play with 10 fingers. o.O

  • Yeah, when you play with just TWO mallets, you can concentrate on music, feelings etc. With 4 mallets, you can only play the wright notes, making a poor, shallow "music". There are exceptions, but not many. When you see 2 mallets, there is a greater probability that you will hear better music.

  • Fantastic!

  • Wow, that was awesome.

  • really great! it swings like hell!!!

  • Wow, it's great to see a vibraphonist pursuing this style of playing to such a high level; everyone these days is so into Burton or Bobby Hutcherson that they forget guys like Hamp, who is really one of the best two or three players in the history of the instrument. (Not to diminish Burton or anyone else!)

  • wow.. great!

  • very,very good.gigicagnoni

  • cool!
