This is a self made and designed GPS controlled nixie tube clock. The tubes used in this clock were National Electronics NL-840 type (new old stock). Control of the clock is implemented with Atmel ATmega128 (over kill) microcontroller and tube drivers were Russian made 74141 equivalent ICs. The clock is powered by external 12V source. 180V voltage needed by tubes is made from 12V by Maxim MAX1771 step-up switching controller. Time base for this clock is taken from NMEA messages from external GPS unit, which is connected to micro controller via serial bus.

There is no need for any external buttons. This clock can adjust winter/summer time automatically. Time zone is hard coded to UTC +2/3 depending winter/summer time.
