Great video. This is exactly the problem I had with my Frig. Your fix worked and it was only a 10 Min job. Thank you for posting this for everyone to see.

@JimbowT thanks for upload, I have a different problem but needed to know how to pull the bezel.

@mikeamato100 I was worried about being gentle with ribbon too - found out in my fridge there's no ribbon, just cords, so this concern might be elminated in some models.

@phoenixuniverse agree 100% Thank you SO MUCH for this video! Done in 15 mins following each step perfectly! I too was planning on $100+ in a repair call otherwise. One tiny change I discovered for my 2008 frigidaire - I used a Watts 1/4" x 3/16" part #PL-205 / PB222NR. I also had bought the 1/4" by 1/4" suggested on the video - it was just a bit too big to fit in my existing water line - the 3/16 worked perfectly. With inflation in Atlanta, part cost $1.99 ;)

won't this void the warrenty on the fridge

Another thing for anyone watching this, its not a good idea to let the dispenser face panel hang by the ribbon as they can be somewhat delicate. Gently grab it where it attaches to the control board (not the one on the face panel, the one mounted to the door) and simply pull it out. When reinstalling it be sure its lined up and gently push it back in. If you look in the slot you can see exactally where it needs to be lined up and pushed in at.
Where can I find this adapter???

@anniepoonanie Try Low's, Home Depot or Ace Hardware.

I too have a problem with water leaking but from the bottom where the line goes into the door. I just replaced the filter & while removing the grill the white tube came off the door. Tried putting it back in but it still leaks from there. I even cut the tip since it was getting bent from me pushing it.Could u HELP? THX! Rose

@almaromantica01 A water tube runs from the door dispenser out the bottom of the door where it often ends and there is joined by a coupler to another water tube that goes out the back of the frig and on to the water supply. If the door side of the coupler came off the tube and you tried to push the coupler back onto the tube, it may have pushed the end of the tube up inside the door. A flashlight and hemostats may help retrive the end of the tube from the door. Hold it with needle nose pliers.

Intresting fix. Never thought of that. It would be nice if frigidaire made that water line a litle longer as it is a pain to get through the hole if you have big hands. What I usually do is disconnect the water line coupler under the door hinge and push the line up in the hinge and pull it through in to the dispenser to get the extra length to plug it in the hole. Then put a drop of wood glue on it from the inside to hold it in place then reassemble the dispenser and hook the line back up.

@mikeamato100 Thanks for your comment. Yes, a slightly longer hose and an o-ring to hold it in place on the down stream side of the dispenser hole would likely be an improvement.
