  • This is a Generic version of Power Save 1200.THIS IS NOT THE REAL THING.The original has 2 capaciters not 1

  • Your Correct!

I did not want to pay for the name brand, the mark up was too high.

I find this one works just fine.

I do not work for any power saver company.

I simply put this together so people could understand more about how it might be installed.

  • I notice you said 30amp but the instructions say 20amp.

Would'nt that mean the wire can only handle 20amp before over heating.

  • The wire gauge on the unit actually supports 30amp, and according to the distributor it can be installed to a 2-Pole 30amp breaker.

I feel that by opening it up to a 30amp potential load it could potentially save you more, should you run heavy loads.

    Thanks for catching that.

  • You can correct the power factor in current phase but you can't change the watts.

The homeowners will not see a reduction of their electric bill. The electric meter on a home only measures watts used, not amps. It makes no difference in the homeowners electric bill unless you are an industrial customer seeking a reduction in poor power factor penalties. Industrial customers have meters that measures both kilowatthours and varhours.

  • SCAM! SCAM! SCAM! - So, have you saved any money on your electric bill because of this device in the past year? Have saved even one PENNY? Nope! And you paid $150.00 thinking you would cut your Electric Bill by 25%. How sad.

  • LMAO!!!!!!!!!!! how much did you pay for that capacitor?

  • this is very nice product and i was made it since 2003 in baghdad and i sale it for only 15$ .thank you

  • LOL it's like at some points in this vid I'd like to say get a room.

  • Buddy I'm sorry but it is a scam. A capacitor only supplies VARS, a motor needs them basically to supply the magnetic power across the air gap in the motor. If this capacitor didn't supply VARS they would come from the utility, but even then you're not charged for them.

The capacitor will lower your current and will raise your power factor but it will not do anything to reduce watts. In a residence all you do is pay for watts over time, watt-hours.
