So who, in your opinion, did the most to advance the state of the art of the uneven bars? Comaneci? Korbut?

well, in my opinion, one can't really compare olga to nadia, olga invented crazy yet beautiful moves, but her routines didn't have nadia's rhythm, nadia was more ehh let's say acrobatic and introduced such a fluidity of movement that never existed before, i mean the rhythm she works with... they both though shared such consistency and originality that makes you just unable to stop watching. Bottom line, both of them were artistic but of totally different styles.

En 1950, c'était plus facile car il y avait même pas 50 cm entre les barres, aujourd'hui ça dépasse 1,80m

It is beautiful to see how gymnastics is being changing through the years. I would honestly say that in the past the gymnastics was much more easier than now.

The big difference between the years is that the bars get farther apart. In the past the gymnasts do more complicated things.

Does anybody know if there is an official name for the skill where you are hanging from the high bar, let go and grab the low bar. I've seen a couple girls use it to count as a bar change in collegiate club gymnastics (NAIGC) which follows level 9 requirements.

WOW such great footage! Though did the Uneven bars change? The 50s uneven bars looks like parallel bars just at different height. Nevertheless, still good stuff :D
