    ็Hard to perceive and extremely subtle is this mind,

    It roams wherever it desires.

    Let the wise man guard it;

    A guarded mind is conducive to happiness.

    What is inspiring to me isn't the things that each person does, but rather that this is inside all of us- but we cannot "tap it"?

    Is "tapping this font" the way that we save ourselves, from ourselves, on this earth? Is science going to be able to ID this & give this gift- & then what? How shall we respond? I wish I could see it, but unfortunately, I doubt I shall at 51. However, my children or grandchildren may.

    I ALREADY knew all this. I learned about Daniel Tammet in my Experimental Psychology course a year ago.

    Daniel Tammet who learned a language in a week and do abnormal math calculations, and still function like a regular human being, sure he's different. There' also an old man who can read a 1,000 page book and memorize every single word and never forget it, but it came at a huge cost - stuck to a wheelchair and his body is totally fucked up. Stop using the word savant in every single response - it's annoying. The man stuck to the wheelchair - he showed the world what our brain is capable of.
